Opera House Weddings | Amanda + Adam

Nothing wraps up a wedding day better than a late night visit from a food truck, which turned out to be Amanda’s special surprise to Adam. When the blindfold was removed Adam looked like a little kid on Christmas, his expression was just priceless. Burgh Bites provided the perfect late night party snack of gourmet hot dogs to Adam & Amanda’s reception party and if you’ve never had their Pedro Dog …well… let’s just say its a game changer.

Amanda & Adam chose the Pittsburgh Opera in the Strip District to host their vows & evening celebration. I spent the day in great company, alongside a warm & energetic group of family & friends. When I met Amanda & Adam initially for their engagement session, I had a feeling that their relaxed & casual vibe was going to lend itself to less formal, more fun-focused wedding day and to see just that come to fruition made the day so much fun. That afternoon a roofless empty corner building a couple of blocks away lent itself to a slew of amazing gritty, urban style portraits… some of my favorite shots of the day. (great scouting find by Amanda!)

Throughout the day it was wonderful to see how present in the moment, both Adam & Amanda were amidst the fast paced schedule and happy chaos of being pulled in a million directions. I got to see a real connection of love & friendship as the two went about celebrating their special day together. Amanda & Adam were so awesome to spend the day while photographing and I thank them for allowing me the opportunity to document their fun day.
