Pittsburgh Country Engagement Photography | Matthew Blassey
My travels took me to the historic country town of Ligonier for Larry & Ashley’s fall engagement session. We began with a scavenger hunt for a covered bridge that Ashley had discovered online that was just on the outskirts of town. Ashley’s find was perfect, you couldn’t have asked for a more picturesque country setting in the woods. The covered bridge connected a dirt country road overtop a small scenic stream, perfectly accented by a forest of trees & colorful fall autumn leaves. Just the right amount of sunset light was poking through the tree line to add soft golden light to the photos.
For the 2nd half of our session, we ventured into the heart of Ligonier known as the Diamond, where a small town square park, vintage bandstand, and surrounding boutique shops provided beautiful backdrops for picture taking. I enjoyed my time in getting know Larry & Ashley as we walked about casually, chatting and taking photos until the sun went down. I have to say that I also enjoyed their adventurous spirit when it came to being open to ideas, even if that meant trespassing onto a farmer’s wheat field to get a fantastic sunset shot!
