Amy & TJ’s wedding was an enjoyable, warm & welcoming day to be a part of. I had previously photographed Amy a year prior as a bridesmaid at her friend Jen’s wedding, and I was honored this time around to be entrusted with capturing Amy’s own wedding day.
There was an unmistakable rhythm Amy & TJ both shared together. I noticed this from the way they laughed and gazed at one another throughout the day, to the way they lip-sang shared songs together on the dancefloor. It was clear to see that these two are truly meant for each other.
One of my favorite parts of the evening happened when everyone locked arms around the crowded dance floor, singing the lyrics to John Denver’s “Country Road’s, Take Me Home.” The song resonated with TJ & Amy because they live in Morgantown, but also brought back special nostalgia for me too because I went to West Virginia University (Alums with both Amy & TJ I found out). During my years there that was pretty much WVU’s official late night song at parties and during football game tailgating. It’s been years since I heard a room full of people karaoke that song! It brought back some fun memories haha.
I had a wonderful time photographing as well as spending the day with Amy & TJ. I Wish you guys all the happiness in your new life together!
