The bright & airy Washington Room is easily one of my favorite indoor locations for wedding ceremony photos. The room features a two-story wall of windows aligning the left side of the room that provides fantastic natural light, perfect for documenting a ceremony. In addition, the Washington Room also has a few small 2nd-floor balcony areas, located along the right side, that provide a creative perspective for capturing wide-angle shots of a ceremony.

One of my favorite aspects of photographing a wedding day is the variety of worthy photo spots for mid-day creative portraits. Across the street from the hotel is the Washington County Courthouse as well as the business district that provides an urban style vibe for creative pictures. Down the hill, a short distance in the other direction is Washington & Jefferson’s college campus that’s perfect if you want park foliage style portraits. If it does happen to rain on your wedding day though, the hotel’s outdoor covered front patio also doubles as a great spot for elegant portraits with an added vintage appeal.
