Pittsburgh’s Grand Hall at The Priory Weddings | Jeffrey + Ryan

Jeffrey & Ryan’s Pittsburgh wedding day was simple, it was a day of celebration centered around their closest friends & family. The day began at the elegant & historic Omni William Penn Hotel in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh and ended at the iconic Grand Hall at The Priory in Pittsburgh’s North Side.

Their room at the Omni William Penn was just perfect; a two room suite with plenty of room to move about with beautiful full window light for candids & detail shots. I couldn’t have asked for a better space for capturing pre-ceremony photos.

Ryan & Jeffrey even took the initiative ahead of my arrival by pre-assembling their shoes, accessories & detail items in a perfectly symmetrical layout. What more could I have asked for? Much appreciated guys!

Pittsburgh’s Grand Hall at The Priory Wedding Day

Before heading to the Grand Hall at The Priory, we took a quick drive over to the David L. Lawrence convention center for some mid-day photos. The fact that it was a late Friday afternoon, we had the whole fountain walkway/riverbank area to ourselves which allowed for an intimate collection of creative portraits.

That evening the Grand Hall was full of tears, laughter and all the fantastic dance moves you’d hope to see at a wedding reception. Jeffrey’s sister gave a heartfelt speech before dinner that brought each of them to happy tears followed up with a song by Ryan’s father.

One of my favorite picture moments came later in the night when Ryan swiftly grabbed Jeffrey onto the dance floor for some good old fashioned polka dancing. Quickly trying to learn steps on the fly, one misstep after another led to uncontrollable laughter and such a fun series of candids between these two. This moment in many ways summed up the essence of their day. Ryan & Jeffrey were so full of excitement, love & laughter throughout every aspect of their day it was easy to see why these two are together.

Ryan & Jeffrey, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your special day. You both were so welcoming and kind, and I’m genuinely grateful for that. I wish you both a lifetime of love, laughter, and friendship.
