Chris and Rachel’s wedding day was one that I had been eagerly anticipating since they asked me to photograph their wedding a few months back. I’ve known Rachel close to half of my life, and her friendship with my wife Jen goes all the way back to 1st grade. So shooting this wedding was such a fun and personal experience as the entire day centered around photographing friends.
As I had anticipated, Rachel and Chris were both very engaging and enjoyable to photograph. Rachel is a fearless person who isn’t afraid to let it all hang out, which created some one of a kind opportunities to capture great vivid and candid expressions. As for Chris, even though I’ve only known him for a short period of time, it didn’t take long at all for me to realize that he was a perfect match for Rachel. Their personalities just mesh seamlessly and their wedding day presented a perfect example of seeing this connection in full stride. I was grateful to be asked to be behind the lens. Weddings such as these are always a nostalgic and festive time to reunite with life-long friends and pick up right where you have left off.
