Pittsburgh Maternity Portraits | Kate & Matt

I photographed a session earlier this summer of my friends Kate & Matt, who had asked if I’d shoot some maternity portraits of the two of them. For their shoot I made use of some large studio windows as my main light source to achieve a naturalistic lifestyle kinda feel. Ideally I wanted my lighting to provided a clean and elegant style & feel for portraits of Kate. My favorite shot of the session was a wide shot of an empty white walled warehouse room with Kate & Matt eye gazed in the center. The vibe of the industrial white brick walled room was nice break from the traditional maternity photo norm and the day light flooding in through the studio windows sort of added surreal dreamlike quality I really liked.
