I was excited to meet Heather in person for the first time when I arrived at the Mayernik Center. All of our prior chats had been through phone & email up until this point since Heather had been planning her hometown wedding from out of state in Maryland (where she currently lives). Heather was a very friendly & kind bride to spend the day with and the same could be said about Kevin. Both were very calm & humble when it came to inviting me in close to document their day, and I was very gracious for that.
Aside from the hot & humid temp on this typical Saturday in July, the park outside of the Mayernik Center was an ideal setting for portraits; especially the bridge that provided some beautiful afternoon ambient light for the first-look shots! It was also fun to discover that Heather & Kevin were highschool sweethearts. Watching Heather overcome with emotional happy tears & ecstatic smiles over the course of the day with Kevin showed that he truly was her soulmate. Spending the day photographing a couple like Kevin & Heather makes me realize why I love being a people photographer.
Heather & Kevin – Thank you both for having me take part in your special day. I wish you two the very best!
