Doubletree by Hilton Green Tree Weddings| Eleshia + Matthew
Matthew & Eleshia’s Doubletree by Hilton Green Tree Wedding was a picture perfect day that went off without a hitch. The ceremony took place at St. Pius X in Brookline (where Matthew grew up) and wedding portraits were at West End Elliot Overlook Park.
From the very moment I stepped into the room, Eleshia was in-gear, full of smiles and ready to make this day happen! Throughout the swift hustle & bustle of the morning wedding prep, I captured the genuine excitement & joy of Eleshia & her bridesmaids anxiously getting ready. These close-knit group of friends were not camera shy whatsoever; so vibrant & so much fun to photograph.
As for Matthew, I was no stranger to his family. Way back in the day I was grade school friends with his older brother. So for me, It was a wonderful blast from the past to reconnect with his older brother Paul & his family.

Dark clouds rolled in and began pouring down rain during the ceremony, but luckily the weather cleared and allowed us just enough time to capture creative portraits at one of Pittsburgh’s iconic spots, West End Elliot Overlook Park. Amidst the post-rain, summer-like humidity, Eleshia & Matt were true sports for sticking it out for some fantastic wedding portraits.
The series of images below was one of my favorite moments of the day. Most of the time I witness couples politely & cleanly feeding each other during this cake cutting segment. There’s always a sense of anticipation from couples like “you better not do it!” and 99% of the time its all hype. Not this time around; Eleshia & Matthew weren’t afraid to go for it and go for it they did! haha. Carefree moments like one is what I loved about Eleshia & Matthew. In the midst of a fast paced scheduled day & being the center of attention, they were afraid to just let loose, be themselves and together just be in the moment.
