Crowne Plaza Suites South Wedding Day | Colleen + Mark
Colleen & Mark’s wedding day had a combination of all the things I love to see – a fun-photogenic group of friends & family, perfect summer weather, a little bit of wild reception craziness here & there, and most of all two people truly deserving of each other. Colleen & Mark’s planned their one stop destination day centered around the Crowne Plaza Suites Pittsburgh South in Bethel Park on a sunny blue sky day in July.
The day opened at the Crowne Plaza as beautiful window light streamed into the rooms while Mark & Colleen began their prep, illuminating candid moments amongst friends & providing the perfect light for vibrant portraits. That afternoon Mark & Colleen’s connection was on full display as they exchanged their vows outside in the hotel’s sunny courtyard. What stood out the most during this series of photographs was the undeniable chemistry between Colleen & Mark. It was so evident these two had been waiting a long time for this day to come and in turn, I was honored to be there to capture it.
Later that night Colleen, Mark & their gang of friends took to the floor and weren’t afraid to show off a wide variety of wild & funny signature dance moves as I fired away, capturing snapshots in the heart of the action! My favorite picturesque moment came when Colleen (without hesitation) playfully smashed her piece of the cake into Mark’s face after the cutting. Colleen’s devilish prankster smile combined with Mark’s dry expression of “gee….I should have known better” makes me chuckle every time I look at those photos. (below)
I’ve enjoyed getting to know these two over the past year, from their early planning & engagement session to now their wedding day and I couldn’t be happier for the two of them. Our time together has been such a warm, welcoming and fun experience and I am honored to have been there throughout the process to document it. I wish Colleen & Mark the very best together in their new life to come!
